2023 has been filled with unique wedding concepts, gorgeous Wichita and Kansas City venues, incredible sessions, and styled shoots. At Lively Photography, we’ve captured countless beautiful moments these past few months. Today I’m sharing a few of our favorite 2023 moments to date. 2023 Weddings
Floral Wedding at Botanica
First up, I’m sharing a few favorites from this floral wedding at one of our favorite Wichita wedding venues, Botanica. This wedding day was all about the flowers! Wedding florals can significantly affect a wedding day’s overall aesthetic, and these florals were truly magical. The florist for this wedding was Limestone Floral, a studio that focuses on nature-inspired designs. Botanica is such an incredible backdrop to a wedding day filled with natural beauty, and the floral designs from Limestone Floral added to the overall magic of the day. Flowers were everywhere—the wedding arch, the 7-tier cake, the tables, and even the invitations! The vibrant colors and lush blooms in a serene garden setting created a romantic atmosphere for this couple’s love story. What a perfect theme for a June wedding at Botanica!
Classic Summer Wedding at the Barn at Grace Hill
This next wedding was a joyful summer wedding at The Barn at Grace Hill. The Barn at Grace Hill is another incredible Wichita venue, and it even made our list of favorite venues in the area! We loved everything about this emotional wedding day, from the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses (from Revelry + Birdy Grey) to the moving first look. You could tell that this was a classic love story of two people who were made for each other. The bride even made a festive exit with a super fun second dress! The rustic charm of The Barn at Grace Hill, sunlit fields, and timeless elegance created an unforgettable celebration.
2023 Engagement + Couples Sessions
Charcuterie Picnic Anniversary Session
If you’ve ever thought about doing a picnic photo session, let this be your sign to do it! Michael and Olivia wanted to celebrate their anniversary with a sweet picnic session. Savour the Graze created the cutest charcuterie board for two, and these love birds enjoyed some sweet bites on the most adorable quilt. Then they poured some drinks before we ventured into the grassy fields for some more photos to celebrate their milestone. This intimate and whimsical setting allowed us to capture Michael and Olivia’s love and connection naturally and personally. We wish you two the best as you keep on creating memories together!
Coffee Date Engagement Session
Another favorite couples session from this year has to be this delightful coffee date engagement session at Coffee Daze in downtown Wichita. Timothy and Teresa brought the best energy to their session and cozied with a hot cup of coffee from a local favorite cafe. We captured their genuine connection, lots of laughter, and sweet moments as they enjoyed their coffees and we explored the city. You can see Timothy and Teresa’s excitement as we documented this special time in their relationship! And we also had to take some photos showing off the RING! I can’t wait to see the two of you enter your new chapter as a married couple.
Romantic Kansas City Getaway Engagement Session
For our next highlight, we travel to Kansas City for a city getaway-themed engagement session with Casey and Collin. We explored some really unique spots in KC and even snuck some photos as these two enjoyed a cocktail. We captured so many dreamy moments in captivating backdrops throughout the city. From strolling through the sights to stealing kisses in hotel elevators, this session is sweet and meaningful! We loved capturing this couple’s love story against iconic landmarks and romantic scenery. All the best to the two of you!
Bridgerton Styled Shoot
The last highlight I’m sharing with you from 2023 so far is a Bridgerton-themed-styled shoot inspired by the beloved period piece. This styled shoot was a dream that Events by Emily and I designed together and made a reality! We collaborated with talented vendors to showcase the elegance, regality, and romance of the Bridgerton era in Wichita! After planning out all of the little details, we had a blast capturing the essence of the show while showcasing this couple’s chemistry and grace.
