Kansas City is home to gorgeous venues for weddings! I’ve compiled a list of 8 Kansas City venues I adore. Keep this list saved if you’re planning a wedding in KC!

Downtown Kansas City Wedding Venues

The Grand Hall at Power and Light

The Grand Hall at Power and Light claims to be Kansas City’s top wedding venue, and for a good reason! This venue was built in 1931 and is a part of Kansas City’s history. It was once the headquarters of the Kansas City Power and Light Company. The Grand Hall can accommodate up to 500 standing or 350 seated guests. This classic ballroom-style venue creates a luxury ambiance for you and all of your guests. You’ll find marble columns, brass lanterns, and travertine floors that are reminiscent of a golden age. There are two spaces to get ready—the Baltimore Suite and the Kansas City Room. Additionally, the Grand Hall provides tables, chairs, and linens. This venue is truly spectacular and the perfect place to say your vows if you’re looking for classic luxury.

Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Kauffman Center is an iconic Kansas City wedding venue with various event spaces that feature stunning architecture. The Brandmeyer Grand Hall is the main wedding venue at Kauffman Center. It features a glass atrium with breathtaking views of the city and space for up to 450 seated guests. In addition, there are performance halls, like the Muriel Kauffman Theater, available for wedding ceremonies. Another event space at Kauffman Center is the Helzberg Hall which has space for a seated dinner for 100 on stage. You’ll definitely want to tour Kaufmann Center to find the perfect event space for your wedding day! Packages begin at $12,000.

Loews Hotel Kansas City

Not far from Kauffman Center, you’ll find the Loews Hotel. The main event space at Loews Hotel is the City Beautiful Ballroom, a sprawling space with skyline views. Wedding packages at Loews Hotel include a honeymoon suite, tables, chairs, china, silverware, glassware, and linens. There are also votive candles, a head table, and a display table available. The nice thing about having your wedding at a hotel is that you can also book a block of rooms for out-of-town guests and family members! Loews Hotel Kansas City is the perfect mixture of modern and elegant, making it an excellent choice for stylish downtown weddings.

Kansas City Wedding Venues With Natural Beauty

White Iron Ridge

The first Kansas City wedding venue I recommend is White Iron Ridge, a modern luxury wedding barn where every little detail is immaculate. White Iron Ridge is a newer wedding venue in the Kansas City area, and it was designed to be easily customized to your style. The Grand Ballroom features arched 40-foot high ceilings, balconies, a statement iron staircase, and elegant chandeliers. From the Grand Ballroom, you can travel outdoors to the covered deck with gorgeous views. You can utilize additional spaces like the Parlor Lounge and Loft Parlor for larger events. I especially love the bridal suite located in one of the loft spaces. There is also a room for the groom to get ready, with a private deck and wet bar. Overnight suites are becoming a popular amenity newer wedding venues feature. White Iron Ridge has a private honeymoon suite and six guest suites that accommodate up to 20 guests overnight. Packages begin at $5,000.

Hawthorne House

The Hawthorne House is a top-rated wedding venue set on 11 acres of natural beauty. There are many unique spaces on site, including The Chapel, The Gazebo, The Emerson Room, and The Suites. The Magnolia and Bradford Suites are ideal for getting ready for your big day. The Chapel was designed with weddings in mind; it’s equipped with handmade wooden pews that seat 250 guests. Vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows make this a beautiful spot to say your vows. If you choose to have an outdoor ceremony, The Gazebo on the front lawn of the Hawthorne House is available. The Emerson Room is a gorgeous space for wedding receptions. The open layout and plentiful windows make the area feel larger than life. There is space for 300 seated guests, a bar line, and a dance floor! Everything about the Hawthorne House was designed with the needs of a couple in mind, so when you get married here, everything truly is taken care of!

A-Vent Orangery

Located in Kansas City, Kansas, A-Vent Orangery is a new outdoor covered event space open year-round. This conservatory venue is a work of art set at the Chateau Avalon Hotel and Spa. Lush trees surround the space, and you have the option to remove the glass panels to create a seamless transition between the outdoors and indoors. Beautiful tables and chairs are included in all packages. There are options to include rental of the luxury bridal suite, patio access for the rehearsal dinner, and white drapes that decorate the south wall of the conservatory. A-Vent Orangery is one of Kansas City’s most unique and beautiful venues with a taste of European romance.
